00:06which are more vulnerable to climate change despite contributing less to global emissions.

00:12Department of Energy or DOE Undersecretary Rowena Guevara

00:16highlighted the Philippines goal of increasing renewable energy or RE to 35% of the power mix by 2030 and

00:2450% by 2040. The DOE has outlined strategies including

00:30accelerating RE development, building a smart grid and retiring or

00:34repurposing coal plants. She called for urgent and fair global collaboration in the energy transition.
