00:00Law enforcement agency seized 21.43 billion pesos worth of illegal drugs in 2024

00:06as part of the Marcos administration's stronger anti-drug efforts.

00:11According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency or PIDEA,

00:15this amount is 32% higher than the 16.24 billion pesos seized in 2023.

00:22Majority of the confiscated drugs were shabu, cocaine, ecstasy tablets, kush, and dried marijuana.

00:2938,545 anti-drug operations were conducted last year,

00:34and over 51,000 drug suspects have been arrested.

00:39These seizures highlight the government's strong

00:41efforts to target major drug traffickers and criminal networks.
