Venezuela, Integral Defense Operational Zones reject U.S. and European Union sanctions

Venezuela's 29 Operational Zones of Integral Defense (ZODI) have expressed their rejection of the recent sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union against Venezuelan government officials. teleSUR

00:00In Venezuela, officials of the Integral Defense Operations Zone continue to express their

00:04support to President Nicolás Maduro, reaffirming their commitment to defend national peace

00:09and sovereignty.

00:11From different regions of the country, the members of the Integral Defense Operations

00:14Zone firmly condemn the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the U.S. government against

00:19President Nicolás Maduro and other high officials of the country, in an attempt to tarnish the

00:24inauguration of the Venezuelan president last January 10.

00:27Likewise, the members of the Integral Defense Operations Zone gratify their support to the

00:32Bolivarian Revolution, to the democratic election of the Venezuelan people last July 28th, and

00:36to the struggle for the defense of peace of the nation.

00:48We emphatically reject the decision of the imperial governments to impose coercive measures,

00:54wrongly called sanctions, on members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, and the

00:59National Executive.

01:02They have the audacity to offer rewards for our Commander-in-Chief and elected Constitutional

01:08President.

01:10Our Minister of Popular Power for the Defense.

01:14Our Minister of Interior Relations Justice and Peace.

01:18To weaken our revolutionary, anti-imperialist, socialist ideals.

01:25But they will not succeed.

01:27The Bolivarian National Force, along with the Venezuelan people, is convinced that it

01:33is on the right side of history.

01:36We are committed to the constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
