00:00General Santos City has introduced a digital platform to simplify business permit renewals.

00:06The system combines online services with in-person assistance and has already processed thousands of renewals.

00:21The Business Processing and Licensing Division or BPLD of General Santos City's local government

00:26has enhanced its Business Permit Renewal process by implementing the Electronic Business One-Stop Shop or eBus,

00:32which will remain operational until January 31 at the Robinsons Place, Gensan.

00:36This digital platform has streamlined operations, making it more convenient for business owners to comply with regulatory requirements.

00:43According to BPLD, since January 2 of this year, it has already recorded some 1,000 successful Business Permit Renewals.

00:50Since again, our process is online, but there is an option for our taxpayers to pay face-to-face.

00:57And then if ever there are clients who don't know how to use online platforms,

01:02who don't know how to upload or who don't know how to visit our site,

01:06we provide a kiosk where they can assist.

01:09The BPLD further explained that eBus connects all relevant offices online, eliminating the need for manual processing.

01:16However, it reiterated that the city government has also accommodated taxpayers who prefer face-to-face transactions.

01:22After online, they will reply if they have received for processing.

01:27Then, you just have to wait for the billing to be issued.

01:30You don't have to line up to get the billing.

01:36The city government has also established help desks to assist clients and users in navigating the eBus system.
