00:00We have well over 5,000 acres that have burned and the fire is growing.
00:06We have no percentage of containment.
00:09We have an estimated 1,000 structures destroyed
00:14and also no reported fatalities and a high number of significant injuries
00:21to residents who did not evacuate in addition to first responders who
00:26are on the fire line. We have over 1,000 personnel assigned
00:32and the cause of the fire is unknown however it is
00:36under investigation. For the Eaton fire it is located in both the Angeles
00:41National Forest, the Altadena area of LA County and
00:46Pasadena. LA County is in unified command
00:51with both the Angeles National Forest and the Pasadena Fire Department.
00:56We have over 2,000 acres burning at this time and the fire continues
01:02to grow with zero percent containment. We have
01:06over 500 personnel assigned and unfortunately we have two reported
01:12fatalities to civilians. Unknown cause
01:16at this time and we do have a number of significant injuries.
01:22We have over 100 structures destroyed. As the Region 1 Coordinator, I have
01:28requested mutual aid from the five counties of Orange, Los Angeles,
01:35Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
01:40Additionally, last night I contacted the state
01:45office of emergency services and requested 50 engine strike teams.
01:5250 engine strike teams is composed of 250 fire engines and over 1,000
02:00personnel. We have also requested resources from
02:05out of state as well as Northern California. The
02:08National Weather Service has predicted a continued red flag
02:13weather event with strong winds and low
02:16humidities, placing all residents of Los Angeles
02:20County in danger. To all of our viewers,

02:33as we come together to continue to get through this widespread disaster.
