00:08Nearly 10,000 homes and other structures are devoured, even as the fierce winds ease after three nights.
00:14Officials say at least 10 died as of late Thursday, January 9, and the figure is still expected to grow.
00:20The Eaton fire damaged or destroyed 4,000 to 5,000 structures, while the Palisades fire destroyed or damaged another 5,300 structures.
00:28The two fires rank as the most destructive in Los Angeles history, consuming 13,750 hectares and turning entire neighborhoods to ash.
00:37Private forecaster AccuWeather estimates the damage and economic loss at $135 to $150 billion.
00:44Even celebrities' real estate are not spared from the fires.
00:48Paris Hilton watched her Malibu mansion burn down on live TV.
00:51Jamie Lee Curtis, James Woods, Mandy Moore, Mark Hamill, and Maria Shriver are among those who publicly described being forced to evacuate.
