00:48But I think truly, at the end of the day, no one really knows what's going on behind

00:53I mean, you look at the Chicago Bears trying to request an interview with Mike McCarthy
00:57yesterday, took the Cowboys a little over 24 hours to respond, they eventually said

01:03My assumption of that and that that's really all we can do as reporters take take the context
01:07that we know from, you know, the the years gathered over, you know, covering McCarthy
01:12covering these covering this team covering the Joneses, and try to apply it to the situation.
01:16You know, my interpretation of that is that, you know, the two met and they had to sit
01:19down about okay, hey, is this an interview you want to take?
01:23And if he said no, then they declined the request.
01:25And they have until January 14, to have exclusive negotiating rights with Mike McCarthy, his
01:30contract technically ends on Wednesday, tomorrow, but they have the rights to exclusively negotiate
01:35with him until next Tuesday.
01:37So it looks like they're going to take that period at least as of now, to figure out a
01:42deal for both sides.
01:43But you look at the comments that Jerry Jones made after the game on Sunday, and you see
01:47him say that the determining and the negotiating is all in one swing.
01:53And that sentence tells me that Jerry Jones has an idea of what a return for Mike McCarthy
01:57looks like.
01:58And if Mike McCarthy can agree to what that idea looks like, then he'll be back.
02:01But if not, then they're probably going to go in a different direction.
