00:00PAS's rally yesterday, in solidarity with former Prime Minister Najib Razak, was a strategic

00:08attempt to portray AMNO as incapable of defending its own leader.

00:13This is what political analyst Azmi Hassan had to say about the rally, which saw the

00:18attendance of prominent PAS leaders, including its Secretary-General, Takiuddin Hassan, and

00:25Vice President, Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.

00:29Azmi questioned PAS's motives for being so invested in monitoring Najib and the issue

00:35of the addendum order.

00:37PAS had proceeded with the rally, despite AMNO's withdrawal, following a statement by

00:42Istana Nagara and advice from the police against participating in the rally.

00:49Analyst Shaza Shoukry said some AMNO leaders at the rally seemed torn between following

00:54party directives and supporting Najib.

00:58She said PAS and Bersatu, both political rivals of AMNO, were leveraging the addendum

01:04issue to gain Malay support.

01:06She highlighted that both parties were framing their involvement as a call for justice, even

01:12though Najib's case is already progressing through the judicial process.
