00:22With them, how did they receive what you had to say about this season?

00:28It was received with open arms because, at the end of the day, a lot of people aren't

00:34naive to what's going on, what has happened, and a lot of it is tough because, again, for

00:42Thomas, he was a passing game coordinator, so he's seen things from certain levels that

00:47wasn't in his jurisdiction really to try to fix or to do, and then becoming a head coach

00:53with five, whatever, how many games we had left, it's not too much to try to truly fix

00:58at that time or to really nigg and nag because our schedule is our schedule, our routine

01:03is our routine, the way we do things for the most part is how we do it with Eric Washington.

01:09He hadn't called the defense really until the last five games when, of course, Flutes

01:13got dismissed and things like that, so, I mean, it's tough.

01:17It's not too much to really say to an individual person outside of I appreciate how everybody

01:22stepped up, but, I mean, I think more so my conversation was just some things that

01:26I've observed and things that I want to change moving forward and just add and trying to

01:30figure out ways to gain a competitive edge.

01:33I feel like that's what it's really about, and I feel like we were missing that this

01:36year consistently is finding ways to gain competitive edge, whether it's in the film,

01:40whether it's in practice on the grass, whatever it may have been.

01:44I think we just got to find different ways and different combinations of getting a competitive edge.
