00:00This is the Jeep Wagoneer S.
00:04This is the first all-electric Jeep.
00:06The company has been promising this for a while,
00:09and they did some really cool things.
00:11They took the Wagoneer name,
00:13which we have known as the full-size
00:15seven- or eight-passenger SUV with four-wheel drive,
00:19and they put the Wagoneer name on this all-electric Jeep.
00:23Then they gave it a really great powertrain.
00:25So it will have over 600 horsepower,
00:28a 300-mile range,
00:29and it will fully recharge at a DC fast charger
00:32in about 23 minutes.
00:33When it hits the market later in 2025,
00:36it'll be priced at about $72,000,
00:39and it will be built in the United States.
00:41Jeep took a really revolutionary approach
00:44to the design language.
00:45Yes, it is all Jeep.
00:47It is lifted. It has a nice, high ground clearance.
00:49It will have all-wheel drive.
00:51It'll be capable of doing anything a Jeep can do.
00:53But inside, it's really luxurious.
00:56It has that very futuristic approach to screens
00:59and a steering wheel that's flat on top and bottom.
01:02It is all about the view out the windshield
01:05and not about obstructing your view
01:07with things like oversized driver displays.
01:10Probably one of the more notable things
01:11about the Jeep Wagoneer S
01:13is the light bar across the front and across the rear.
01:16That's something that we've seen in a lot of electric cars
01:18in the last few years,
01:20and we're seeing that in the Jeep Wagoneer S as well.
01:23Jeep is not new to electrification
01:25In fact, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in electric hybrid
01:29is the best-selling plug-in electric hybrid in the country.
01:32So they do have some experience with electrification,
01:35but not with full electrification
01:37like we're seeing in the Wagoneer S.
01:39But remember that concept from Chrysler,
01:41the Halcyon electric concept?
01:43Well, a lot of that technology
01:45is what is being built into the Jeep Wagoneer S.
01:49The interior of the Wagoneer S
01:51holds all the new Jeep design language for electrification.
01:54With the squircle steering wheel,
01:56so it's flat on top and flat on bottom.
01:58The driver display screen is embedded here into the dashboard,
02:02so you don't have a high driver display
02:05that's actually blocking your view.
02:07There's a nice big screen here,
02:09and there's actually a passenger screen
02:11so that your passenger is not just passive,
02:14but they're actually an active participant
02:16in your driving experience.
02:18Down here, you'll find a whole new approach
02:21to the center console with a dial drive selector here,
02:24a start-stop button,
02:26and lots of metallic and modern-feeling features.
02:30One thing that Jeep did in this car
02:32was they did not use any chrome.
02:35They found that the production process for chrome
02:38is not friendly to the environment,
02:40and they are working to phase out the use of chrome
02:43and phase in the use of more sustainable materials
02:47like the leatherette upholstery.
02:49When the Jeep Wagoneer S comes to the North American market
02:52later in 2025,
02:54it's going to be an important moment
02:56of proving its metal.
02:58Will it really function off-road
03:00the way we know Jeeps to function?
03:02Will it really be a good electric car?
03:05And will customers embrace it?
03:07That's the question.
