00:00Hi, I'm digital reporter Amy Seddon and I recently got to chat to the actor Rory Kinnear

00:06who plays Lancashire man Dave in Bank of Dave 2 which comes out this weekend. Although my

00:12interview wasn't filmed, our photographer headed down to the Bank of Dave 2 premiere

00:16over the weekend and you can catch his quick chat with Rory next. Netflix did however send

00:22me the trailer for Bank of Dave 2 which you can watch afterwards.

00:27How does it feel being back in Burnley to launch the premiere today?

00:30It's absolutely fantastic. We couldn't have the premiere anywhere else, particularly after

00:33doing the first one here in Burnley as well. Why would you want to do it anywhere else

00:37as well?

00:38And how was it playing Dave again?

00:39It was like slipping back into the comfiest pair of pyjamas. It's funny to be playing

00:47the same part again. Often you do that in a fictional world but to be playing a real

00:51character twice, I haven't done it before. So it's funny obviously refreshing yourself

00:57with the accent, refreshing yourself with the behaviour but also remembering that it's

01:01as much me as it is Dave as well and to build the story as well.

01:06Did you get a warm welcome in Burnley?

01:08No, no, never. No absolutely we didn't and I think people recognised the fact that we

01:16portrayed the city in a positive light in the first film and that it obviously brought

01:22a fair bit of attention as well to the people and to the place. I think wherever we went

01:31people were obviously interested, they obviously knew what we were doing whereas we were able

01:35to go under the radar the first time around. So yeah, wherever we went there was a smile

01:40and a thumbs up.

01:41And have you enjoyed being in Burnley?

01:43Absolutely. I've done a bit of filming in the North West over the years and my dad was

01:49originally from Wigan so the last time I was up here I was able to go back to where he

01:55was born and see where he grew up which I'd never done before. So yeah, there's a family

01:59connection with the place as well.

02:01And what can people expect from this film?

02:03Well I think similar to the first film that sense of, you know, what's inspirational about

02:10it, I think why it chimed with people is the fact that it's about people sticking up for

02:16each other and remembering that people are individuals, communities are built with individuals

02:22and people rather than institutions and corporations and to try and remember that and to try and

02:28remember the human connection that we all crave.

03:23They're trying to shut down the Banker Dave.

03:25They're preying on the most vulnerable and desperate.

03:28And we, we are trying to do something about it.
