00:00Locked and surrounded by police, tens of thousands of anti-Yoon protesters stand on the road

00:05leading up to the presidential palace.

00:09Demonstrators are frustrated that impeached President Yoon has still not been arrested

00:13for ignoring summonses for questioning.

00:15He is under investigation for his attempts to introduce martial law in early December.

00:22In this kind of unjust society, we're holding this protest to oppose the government.

00:27I hope every one of us will come together so that our country moves toward a true democracy.

00:33As the political crisis engulfing South Korea continues, Yoon supporters are also out in

00:40force.

00:41They're chanting and waving South Korean and American flags and signs saying stop the steal,

00:47a phrase coined in the US by supporters of Donald Trump in 2020 when they falsely accused

00:52the Democrats of election fraud.

00:55Here in Seoul, they believe the impeached president is being treated unfairly.

01:02Just like Donald Trump, who stood against the fraudulent election in the US, we will

01:07reveal the truth about the fraud in our country as well.

01:14These protests come in the wake of Friday's dramatic six-hour standoff between President

01:19Yoon's security, his supporters and the authorities trying to arrest and question him.

01:24Presidential security prevented investigators from getting to Yoon, and there were reports

01:28of clashes.

01:30Investigators were eventually forced to withdraw.

01:32The anti-corruption agency has since asked the acting president to order the presidential

01:37security service to comply.

01:39The arrest warrant for Yoon is due to expire on Monday.
