00:00We are a start-up company focusing on renewable energy industries, specifically on the hydrogen
00:11economy and its technologies.
00:13We do in-house development of renewable energy industries.
00:16I'm also working with local government and local industries to expedite the adoption
00:21of hydrogen economy.
00:22Our innovation is basically working on AI-integrated hydrogen-powered electricity generator.
00:28Back in 2019, we were working as an internship in the rural areas.
00:33At that time, we learned that electricity is a major need for the residents of the rural
00:41areas.
00:42They only use this diesel generator at night.
00:45Their daily lives are affected.
00:47Me and my friends, we got an idea to look into renewable energy sources that will be
00:53cost-effective and also can be used for a longer time period.
00:57That will not affect a daily life of a consumer and as well as a business.
01:01We use hydrogen energy, which comes from water.
01:05Using hydrogen energy is a renewable energy source, and typically, it comes in from water.
01:11So there is no carbon emission, and it is environmentally friendly.
01:17Electricity has become the basic need of every human here.
01:22How many of you guys are aware that electricity generation is one of the highest carbon emission
01:28sectors?
01:29We, as a nation, in fact, the whole world, are looking towards renewable energy adoption
01:35to reduce these emissions here.
01:37In Malaysia, we have our National Energy Transition Roadmap by EPU and MOSTIS Hydrogen Economy
01:45Technology Roadmap that specifically emphasizes on the adoption of renewable energy in the
01:51power generation industries.
01:54So why are we actually moving towards renewable energy?
01:57The push here is very much.
01:59Why?
02:00Because all of us here are talking about digital industries, app development, commercial businesses.
02:05The electricity need is increasing so much.
02:08In the same time, we are releasing huge amount of carbon emission, right?
02:13That is the basic need here.
02:15Now, this is an opportunity for us to look into sustainable energy economy.
02:21Why?
02:22Because the normal resources that we have been using to generate electricity, no natural
02:27gases, coal are depleting.
02:29The resources for the future are reducing here.
02:33So I'm more than excited here to announce and to introduce an innovation of renewable
02:39energy that is able to generate electricity from hydrogen called Flectron.
02:45Now, imagine I have water, I'm extracting the hydrogen, the hydrogen then converted
02:54into electricity and I can power up any appliances here.
02:57So Flectron typically can replace the conventional diesel power generated out there.
03:04Sustainable, renewable energy and the main thing here is that we don't release any carbon
03:10emission here.
03:11In terms of environmental impact, we do not release carbon emission.
03:16We only require minimal land use and reduction in terms of noise pollution.
03:22Flectron is nominated by MIDA and MITI to represent Malaysia at the global stage of
03:28Indo-Pacific Economic Forum IPF 2024 at Singapore.
03:33And additionally, we have received an innovation award from SolarWest as the industrial innovation here.
03:39Now, we are innovation that focuses on renewable energy to provide sustainable economy for
03:47the community.
03:48The thing is, this is not, you know, the idea about using hydrogen as energy is everyone
03:55knows the potential, but you didn't touch upon what your technology really is.
04:01So I'm really curious about that.
04:03So what novelty comes in here is the energy management system.
04:06How well you're preserving your energy and converting that into your final output.
04:11You don't want to have a lot of energy losses here.
04:14Second is our novel cooling system, because now the thermal management is very important.
04:19If your battery turns up hotter, then it will be caught by fire.
04:22So that is where our novelty comes in, in terms of the cooling system that is controlled by an AI.
04:26That means whenever the battery turns up heat, it automatically turns on my cooling system.
04:32My view is actually the bottleneck of any hydrogen is the cost for hydrogen.
04:41Exactly.
04:42So if you use the hydrogen that you buy, no matter how smart it is, this is not economic technology.
04:48Original fishbone is about splitting from water.
04:51I thought that there is a technology that can split and this is better.
