00:00Along with the new year, the Department of Health or DOH reported a total of 340 firecracker-related injuries

00:11from December 22 last year until 6 a.m. on January 1, 2025.

00:18Of these, 141 are new cases.

00:2411 cases have been added since the late reporting.

00:27According to the DOH, young people are still the victims of firecrackers.

00:32Most of the cases are the use of illegal firecrackers such as BOGA, Five Star, and Piccolo.

00:39Meanwhile, the Department of Health announced that 64% of the new cases were reported in the eve of 2025 compared to last year.
