00:00Tun Musa Aman was sworn in as the 11th Yang di-Pertuan Negeri of Sabah in a ceremony held

00:06at Istana Seri Kinabalu on Wednesday.

00:09Accompanied by his wife, Toa Puan Farida Tusin, Musa arrived at the ceremonial hall at 10.11

00:14AM and took the oath of office at 10.22 AM.

00:18He then signed the instruments of office, witnessed by the Chief Judge of Sabah and

00:22Sarawak, Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Sebli.

00:26Chief Minister Datuk Sri Haji Jinnur delivered a congratulatory speech, pledging allegiance

00:30to Musa's leadership.

00:32The Sabah State Mufti, Datuk Bungsu Jafar, offered prayers for the state's continued

00:37prosperity under Musa's tenure.

00:39The ceremony concluded with the Governor's departure at 10.43 AM.

00:44Also in attendance were the Deputy Chief Ministers, the Sabah State Assembly Speaker and the State

00:50Secretary.

00:51Musa received his letter of appointment as Yang di-Pertuan Negeri from His Majesty Sultan

00:55Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, at Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur on December 17.

01:01His term officially begins on January 1, 2025 and will run until December 31, 2028.

01:09Musa succeeds Tunjuhar Mahiruddin, who completed his tenure on December 31 after serving four

01:14terms since January 1, 2011.
