00:00Oh, Z last night, just the eight for 85 with a touchdown or S and dude, I don't know if
00:06you've heard this, but I think, I think a lot of people have been real dumb about Zach
00:11hurts that people want to yell about his inability for yards after the catch or, or, or whatever
00:17it is last night. One for starters, he showed serious yet. Yo, he sure did, dude. But you
00:23know, like the thing about it, he's able to get open a veteran tight end has to be available
00:29for a quarterback in certain situations. And he was available and Jayden found it.
00:35Bro. Zach hurts. Honestly. I wonder if we can look this up, Jeff or Brian Zach hurts.
00:42Now with one game to go has 61 catches for 610 yards and six touchdowns. I think that's
00:47easily the best season for a Washington tight end since Logan Thomas's year here back in
00:54whenever LT showed up, which was 20 or 21. I'm guess those are really solid, strong
01:00numbers. I arts has helped you time and time again, his ability to get open and what it
01:07just shows me more than anything is this team.
01:12And the message comes from, I think the absolute top certainly DQ preaches. It's overly simple
01:20to just say it's next man up next man up. Yeah. Because what it is, is when they get
01:24it, you get the next man up avail. I've been prepared. Totally. They don't have guys that's
01:28not prepared. Yeah. There's a level of preparation. They coach it that way. And let's see. I understand
01:36people like to be skeptical, but at this point, I don't know how you can be. There is a belief.
01:41Only skeptical people now are haters. Yeah. I think that's my thing. I think you're so
01:47right. Because I think, I think they have been coached and honestly put together in
01:54a, in a manner of which they got like-minded people to join in the same mission of winning.
02:02But when you put five out there with this group makes it special when you have a quarterback
02:06that no matter what his willingness to do, whatever is required to win shines through
02:14week after week, after week, after week, month after month, the ability to put the work in
02:20that carries over to the whole team. And when you have that, that guy right there is as
02:26dedicated as he is and does the things he does. I used to use Alex or Veskin as that example.
02:32Sure. When your best player is your hardest worker, not easy to get the rest of your guys
02:38to fall in place. Then you're more deck, your most decorated player, Bobby Wagner,
02:44that dude right there just works after the game. You know, everybody coming through there and you
02:50looking at how hype they are. First time I saw a smile was last night and it was very slight
02:55for Bobby. It wasn't the biggest Bob, but he dabbed me up. You've got some rough hands,
03:00but he actually, why he big, he's wrong though. But you know, it was, it's been a pleasure,
03:07man, watching this team because people don't understand when you play for something,
03:12you become indebted to it in a sense, you know, and you want to see them perform well.
03:19But if you're doing this job that we do, sometimes you have to discuss bad stuff.
03:23Yeah. You know, it doesn't mean you dislike or you don't care about the team. That's your job.
03:30But the ultimate thing is you want to be able to praise them. And we've had a lot about this year.
03:35And I think it's still going to be more praising coming up.
03:39Yeah. I mean, there's, there's, we've been saying this for a while now there's warts involved.
03:44They're run game, especially early as serious trouble. I, I love the fact that Jaden is capable
03:54of leading this team in rush yards. He's now done it three games in a row. I don't love that. It's
04:01yeah. Out of necessity that he's the only one that can really get it going on the ground.
04:06I do Rob yesterday in there with 4.8 to carry. It's fun. 60 yards. The numbers feel better than
04:14the, than it looked then watching it. But late in that game, B Rob was able to carve them up a
04:19little bit. Part of the reason was halftime. The numbers got hurt. Yeah. But the first half
04:25was healthy. Yeah. I think, I think Atlanta's defense surprised big 99. It looked like he was
04:31a big truck. Yeah. And 97, I don't know his name, but that dude was following. Yeah. I
04:36Brandon Coleman had a rough night, especially in past pro the penalties. It it's easy to just
04:47dismiss the penalties. And some of them are really egregious. I thought the hold
04:51the pass interference call that allowed Atlanta that late field goal opportunity to maybe win the
04:58game. I thought that was among the worst calls in that situation. I've seen all year at best.
05:05That's a hold the catches. The ball is completely uncatchable. There's no way you should ever call
05:11that freaking as a pass interference to give them all that yardage. I thought that was just
05:16egregiously awful. I mean, if you just look B, do you know what the numbers are on the
05:21penalty breakdown? No. I think we had 10 Atlanta had four for 25 and we had 10 for what?
05:28325, 13 for one Oh eight. See, this is about, and then I said this last night and I really believe
05:36this. Dan has been a standup guy the whole time. He doesn't call out the refs publicly or nothing.
05:44He does. He doesn't call him out, but there are times when he has to send stuff in
05:49and he's been right. A lot of times I have to believe the referees are making certain calls
05:57and calling things against us because they're pissed that they're being reprimanded. And I,
06:02I have a problem with the ref not being able to be questioned publicly. But if you're going,
06:07if your only way is to send that little thing in and the league, send you these,
06:13your, your, your explanations, but your FedEx package and you think they don't do anything.
06:20These referees got to understand. And the league got to understand too,
06:23when you see things, so one side like that, this team is not that team, but that was a little bit
06:30over the board overboard last night. And I, and they need to be able to tell her if you get worse,
06:35then you don't, you sit down. You also, you really seen why they traded for Marshall and
06:43Lattimore. And I mean, at this point, don't play them against Dallas. You're in now. I I'm not,
06:51I'm not one of these dudes is going to sit here and talk about benching guys and blah, blah, blah.
06:54Cause I think that's stupid, but specific to Lattimore, like you're in the playoffs and this
07:00hamstring thing doesn't go away. You wait till week 19 for a lot of more to come back,
07:06but damn, they're significantly better. And I know a lot of folks don't love Benjamin St.
07:10Juice, but Mike Davis didn't better like, like, and they're just, some of the flags are legit.
07:16Cause those dudes are grabby. Cause they're getting beat. You reach out and touch when you're
07:24there's times you want to reach out and touch. There's times when you don't
07:27I'm perhaps the most importantly for all this, for the city, just as we like
07:34heal from 25 years of awful Burgundy and gold to what the future looks like when it five years of
07:40BS, I mean, think about where we were and where we are and think about all the people involved.
07:49You've got Josh Harris, all of the partners, right? Right. Rails, I'm magic.
07:56Blitzer. I mean, there's just so many people involved in that ownership group that deserve
08:00just so much credit. And then the way they built an organization in hiring Adam Peters,
08:06letting him take it from there. Yeah. The basketball guy. Right, right, right, right.
08:13Dan Johnson didn't like the basketball guy asking him a question, Dan Quinn, who a lot of people
08:20had a lot of questions about that dude knows how to build a team. And when you, when you hear the
08:27leader of men thing, he's it he's absolutely it. And he just, he, he acts with a level of
08:33class and decorum at all times. That is really hard to find in the, in the intense pressure
08:39cooker. That is pro football. And then, and then you add Jaden Daniels who just has this level of
08:46unflappability. He's a phenomenal football player. Last night he goes 24 for 36 to 27,
08:53three touchdowns has the pick another 16 for one 27 on the ground and just shows guts.
09:00Just does the Sam Cassell dance every time he has to like unafraid of all situations,
09:06willing to put his body on the line and just pops right back up when you, when you get that
09:11sort of organizational alignment, then you add veterans, then you add young players.
09:15It's just, you have everything working for you. And yet landfill, I'm not entirely sure.
09:21Everybody understands for years and years and years landfill on this program. We have questioned
09:27the alumni's commitment to the organization. We have questioned if the former players,
09:34if the, if the folks that wore the burgundy and the old helmet and the old logo and got
09:39super bowl rings and played for Joe Gibbs, we have questioned their commitment to burgundy
09:45and gold winning football. And today we need it. We need to be invited to do it.
