00:00In NLEX, we got an update on the traffic situation from Bernard Ferrer, live. Bernard.

00:09The traffic buildup of motorists going out and in to NLEX Metro Manila is getting more and more intense nowadays.

00:20In the monitoring of the North Luzon Expressway NLEX,

00:23since this morning, the number of vehicles passing through the expressway has increased.

00:28Particularly in the Northbound, Balintawak to Maycawayan area.

00:31Also in the Southbound, Metro Manila to Bocaue to Valenzuela area.

00:37Ambulance doesn't need to deploy because the traffic is manageable.

00:42If we want to implement a counter flow to speed up the traffic to the Northbound,

00:48we can also increase the volume of traffic to the Southbound.

00:54Nowadays, there are several accidents in NLEX.

00:57This includes a bus and a truck in the Southbound of Balagtas area.

01:01There was also a minor accident in Candabao Viaduct.

01:04NLEX ensured the preparation of precautionary measures for such incidents.

01:09Aside from our deployment of personnel,

01:13our emergency response teams, such as our tow trucks,

01:20have been deployed here in the expressway so that they can respond quickly.

01:28Motorists are instructed to check their batteries, lights, oil, water, brakes,

01:36air, gas, engine, tire, and self.

01:40From December 31 at 10 p.m. to January 1 at 6 a.m.,

01:45a toll holiday or free toll will be implemented in NLEX.

01:51At this time, motorists are already lining up outside Metro Manila in Balintawak Toll Plaza.

01:59But the situation is still manageable.

02:02The traffic in the RFID lane is fast,

02:06so NLEX is encouraging motorists to place RFID stickers so that they can travel faster in the expressway.

02:15But for the majority of motorists, NLEX is still okay.
