00:00Passenger numbers are slowly increasing in PITX who are going back to their provinces this Christmas.

00:05They chose to go home early so that they won't be affected by the increasing number of passengers.

00:16Ace, it's only been 5 days before Christmas.

00:19Have you planned where you'll be going on vacation?

00:21Because here in PITX, the number of passengers is slowly decreasing.

00:26And this is the last day.

00:28This is the last day for most people to enter the offices before their Christmas break.

00:36Vacation is grand.

00:37The long wait is over.

00:39After a whole year of hard work, this is the time our countrymen have been waiting for.

00:45This is the right time to go to the provinces

00:49and relax and celebrate Christmas and New Year with the whole family.

00:55Here in Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange,

00:58the number of passengers is increasing.

01:02Most of them are celebrating Christmas and New Year in their respective provinces.

01:08Many of our countrymen went to PITX early in the morning.

01:14Because they don't want to be affected by the increasing number of passengers.

01:20We also met some of them who prefer to take a bus

01:23compared to other modes of transportation.

01:26Because even if they travel for a long time,

01:28they enjoy the nature view more.

01:32Security is still tight here in PITX.

01:35All passengers have to check their luggage.

01:39Meanwhile, the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board or LTFRB

01:45has approved more than 915 special permits for PUVs.

01:50The special permit allows for different routes,

01:54different from their original routes.

01:56It aims to have more vehicles,

01:59especially in crowded places with many passengers.

02:03Most of these are approved by buses.

02:07It will start today until January 10, 2025.

02:11This is the main entrance of PITX.

02:14As you can see behind me,

02:16the number of passengers is increasing.

02:20But it is important to remember that PITX still prohibits the transportation of harmful materials.

02:26Even lighters are prohibited.

02:31Yesterday, we were able to record some delayed trips

02:36because of the heavy traffic on the way back to PITX.

02:41Almost 170,000 passengers were allowed to enter PITX yesterday.
