00:00The Department of Finance, or DOF, reported that total tax collections for this year reached

00:073.55 trillion pesos as of the end of November.

00:12This is an 11.5% increase compared to the previous year, driven by a 13.9% growth in

00:20Bureau of Internal Revenue, or BIR, collections, amounting to 2.67 trillion pesos and a 4.7

00:29percent rise in the Bureau of Customs, or BOC, collections, which totaled 850 billion

00:38pesos.

00:39According to the DOF, the improved collection performance can be attributed to the enhanced

00:45digitalization efforts and stricter enforcement measures being implemented by the BIR and

00:52BOC.
