Ukraine says North Korean troops suffering heavy losses in Kursk region fighting

It’s the first significant estimate by Ukraine of North Korean casualties several weeks after Kyiv announced that Pyongyang had sent between 10,000 and 12,000 soldiers to Russia to help fight in the war.

00:56Meanwhile, President Vladimir Putin threatened that Russia could again hit Ukraine with its

01:03Oreshnik ballistic missile that was first used in the strike on Dnipro in November.

01:10Speaking to reporters, Putin said Russia has just a few Oreshnik missiles but added that

01:17it wouldn't hesitate to use them on Ukraine.

01:20Putin also said that Russia was striving to bring the conflict in Ukraine to an end and

01:27that Slovakia had offered to be a platform for possible peace talks.
