00:00Task Force Canelaon has called for the mandatory evacuation of residents within the six-kilometer

00:07danger zone of the volcano.

00:09This follows yesterday's eruption, which spewed thick, dark ash columns reaching up

00:15to two kilometers high.

00:17PHIVOX has also warned that Canelaon's alert level could escalate the alert level four.

00:24Local government units have been instructed to prepare contingency plans for a worst-case

00:29scenario.

00:30Meanwhile, the DSWD continues to distribute aid to affected families in Canelaon City,

00:37where over 7,000 residents are currently in evacuation centers as of December 22.

00:45The Office of Civil Defense assured that government support for those affected by the volcanic

00:51activity, particularly farmers whose livelihoods have been impacted, will remain ongoing.

00:59As a matter of fact, last Friday, President Marcos gave 30 million to Canelaon City and

01:1530 million to Negros Oriental, to the province of Negros Oriental for Canelaon City.
