00:00They say that almost everybody loves coffee.

00:02So even if you're in the Philippines,

00:05there's definitely coffee that you can taste.

00:07But what's the secret to having a successful coffee business

00:11even if there's a lot of competition in the market?

00:14Let's find out with Jackie Corona.

00:16Here in Negosyo Tayo.

00:19I'm Jackie Lynn Corona.

00:20We offer coffee, frap, milk tea, and fruit tea for all ages.

00:31At first, we just wanted to make friends and start a franchise.

00:36However, during that time, we were still employed.

00:40We didn't have that much capital to start a franchise.

00:45We just wanted to start our own brand.

00:48That's when we decided to create a brand

00:52that would be able to afford employees like us

00:56or those who are just starting their own business.

01:00We are coffee lovers.

01:03And for us, coffee is not only a drink,

01:06it's also an experience.

01:08So when we have coffee, we talk about our updates in life.

01:13We were supposed to open in 2020, but the pandemic hit.

01:17It was March 2020 when we had a nationwide lockdown.

01:22But during that time, we already had all our ingredients,

01:26all our equipments.

01:28So it was all up to us.

01:30We were thinking that because of the lockdown,

01:33we wouldn't be able to construct in the mall.

01:35So what we did was, we tried online selling our coffee.

01:39We are a pandemic brand.

01:41We survived the pandemic during that time.

01:45And our business is growing up until now.

01:48I am an accountant by profession.

01:50Before, I became an entrepreneur.

01:54Since I was young, I already have the entrepreneurial spirit.

01:59So when I was young, I had several businesses.

02:03From college until I started working here.

02:07And then after, I saw that the industry is really good at business.

02:12I already left my employment.

02:16We really uphold our quality.

02:18Because even though there are a lot of coffee shops now,

02:23we make sure that the quality of our service and our product

02:28doesn't change from the time we opened until now.

02:32Ever since I started my business, since I'm doing what I love,

02:37they say, do what you love and you won't work a day in your life.

02:41So everyday, there's new challenges.

02:44Everyday, of course, we face problems.

02:49But at the end of the day,

02:51the satisfaction that we are able to help people,

02:55that we are able to help those who want to do business,

02:58and that we are able to help our employees.

03:01So the impact of this in my life is, of course,

03:04apart from financial stability,

03:07I have a purpose in what I do.

03:11For those who want to do business,

03:13as long as you have a passion and you like what you do,

03:17no matter what industry it is, it will for sure prosper.

03:21With the right amount of dedication and perseverance,

03:25you will be able to start it.

03:28To everyone who wants to do business,

03:30don't be afraid to start, and to start small.

03:34Because all big businesses also start small.

03:39So let's go! Let's do business!
