00:22money, which they have because they kind of let the cat out of the bag a little bit, Scotty.

00:26They made it clear that they were willing to spend $760 million, so if they walked out

00:32of this offseason without spending at least half of that $760 million, this was going

00:36to be a fail and an epic fail.

00:38But it's not.

00:39What they did was they filled in the cracks in all the holes this team had.

00:42They needed a closer.

00:43Guy was swinging this stuff.

00:46You needed a guy to give you a little bit of leverage for first base and the outfield.

00:51You needed to get yourself a frontline starter.

00:54And he's not even your ace.

00:56And you throw that on top of Paul Goldschmidt on a really cheap one-year deal.

01:00I think Paul Goldschmidt's got plenty left in the tank, considering the fact that he

01:03hit 245 last year with, what, 56 extra bases and 22 homers.

01:08That right there alone is an upgrade at first base for the Yankees, and if the Yankees go

01:11get a third baseman, too, say like an Alex Bregman, the Yankees have won this offseason

01:16and then some.

01:18You think he'll do well, Goldschmidt?

01:20You think he'll be able to hang?

01:22I think he'll be able to hang enough.

01:23Keep in mind, he doesn't need to be the Goldschmidt at all.

01:25He doesn't need to be the MVP of two years ago.

01:28He needs to be a good defensive first baseman, and he also needs to put some balls over the

01:3415, 20 home runs, if he can stay around 250, absolutely he's got that in the tank, especially

01:38in that hitter-friendly spot in the Bronx.
