An accident involving a tanker lorry and three cars on the North-South Expressway blocked all northbound lanes, causing a 5km traffic crawl on Sunday (Dec 22).

00:00An accident involving a tanker lorry and three cars on the North-South Expressway caused
00:07all northbound lanes to be blocked, resulting in a five-kilometre traffic crawl on Sunday.
00:12Plus Malaysia Berhad reported that the incident occurred at kilometre 264.4 of the expressway
00:20at 5.52pm.
00:22The tanker skidded and came to rest sideways, disrupting traffic from Ipoh to the Menora
00:28Tunnel.
00:29Passengers were advised to follow traffic signs at the scene and use alternative routes
00:34to avoid further congestion.
00:36Ipoh District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad told Sinar
00:41Harian that no fatalities were reported and the 46-year-old lorry driver was unharmed.
00:48He added that all lanes remained closed to facilitate vehicle removal operations.
