00:00I'm here at the scene of the horrific events which took place just five days before Christmas

00:05at the Magdeburg Christmas market.

00:08Behind me here is the entrance point in which the suspect drove his car onto the grounds

00:14and then some 400 metres through the market for a total of three whole minutes, knocking

00:22down more than 200 people along the way.

00:25The suspect is a 50-year-old doctor from Saudi Arabia who had been in Germany for almost

00:3020 years.

00:32The motives for his attack are still under investigation.

00:36Behind me here is where the vehicle exited the Christmas market.

00:39It made a right here only to be stopped by police at the tram stop behind me where the

00:45suspect was arrested.

00:48This is where the rampage ended.

00:50Since then, the public prosecutor's office of the city of Magdeburg have charged the

00:54suspect with five counts of murder and over 200 counts of attempted murder.
