00:26that was recorded by the Office of the City Agriculturist of Vago City, Negros Occidental.
00:31This is the result of the last eruption of volcano Canlaon last Monday, December 9.
00:38According to the City Agriculturist,
00:41175 farmers and more than 118 hectares of land in their city were affected by the eruption of the volcano.
00:53The High Value Crops or HVC sector also recorded a loss of 3.72 million pesos.
01:04This is followed by the rice sector with a loss of 1.72 million pesos
01:10and the corn sector with a loss of more than 150,000 pesos.
01:16According to the City Agriculturist Designate Marvin Jan Blanche,
01:21their rehabilitation measures will continue.
01:27Blanche also added that they already have organic fertilizers,
01:32vegetable seed, coffee, banana, and cacao planting materials
01:37that farmers may need for their re-planting.
