00:00Everton, obviously, have announced they are getting the keys to the new stadium in the
00:06new year. The move won't be done yet, but they are playing a lot of their final fixtures
00:12at Goodison. The postponed Merseyside derby would have been the last at Goodison, for
00:18example. It's a massive change, a massive milestone for them, having been there so,
00:25so long. In terms of moments at Goodison Park, what sort of stands out to you and to fans?
00:31Maybe, obviously, it might not be as historic as some fans would remember, but, you know,
00:37modern era as well, they've had some great times there. What sort of stands out when
00:41you look back at Goodison's best moments for Everton?
00:44Yeah, there's been ups and downs for sure, hasn't there? Especially if you look in the
00:48last, what, 40 years. Everton in the 80s were one of the top teams in the country.
00:54They won the title in 1985 and 1987. I think those two seasons will be remembered. And
01:01then when Everton won the Cup Winners' Cup in 1985, they beat Bayern Munich at Goodison
01:09in the semi-finals. They came back from behind. If you're a fan of a generation, then you're
01:14going to remember those for different reasons. Supporters are going to remember the 90s and
01:19all the games where they twice had to battle to survive. Wimbledon and Coventry, bringing
01:27different emotions. You're going into 2000s and a lot of people cite that one-nil win
01:32against Man Utd in the 2004-05 season, when that was a real big win and Everton finished
01:39fourth that season, the highest ever Premier League finish, qualifier for the Champions
01:45League. Maybe in more recent times, again, there haven't been an awful lot to get absolutely
01:54enthused about for the right reason, but I think Crystal Palace was pure relief when
01:58they stayed up under Frank Lampard, who was there that night. To come back from two-nil
02:03down, there would have been supporters who thought Everton were buried, to be quite frank.
02:09It was a magical night. I still feel the shaking underneath me when that Dominic Calvert-Lewin
02:16goal went in. The Merseyside derby last season when Everton won two-nil. There's plenty to
02:23remember, plenty to cherish, but, yes, Everton fans, they're looking forward to getting into
02:31the new stadium now. I think, as sad as it is for some fans, Goodson Park, it's represented
02:39I don't want to say mediocrity, but it's not been the place for this generation as
02:46for the generation before them. They've seen the good times, they haven't seen enough good
02:50memories and that's what Everton fans want to see now with the move to the new stadium.
02:55We want to see them back in the upper echelons of English football.
