00:00The Philippine Ports Authority, or PPA, is preparing for a surge of passengers during the holiday season.

00:06According to PPA spokesperson Eunice Zamonte, they expect around 4.5 million passengers to travel to the provinces

00:13between December 15 and January 4 to ensure passengers' needs are met.

00:18The PPA has implemented a no-leave policy for its staff and deployed additional security personnel

00:24to ensure the safety of both the ports and travelers.

00:27Passengers are advised to plan their trips in advance and book online.

00:32It is recommended to arrive at the port at least two hours before departure

00:36and to avoid bringing prohibited items such as sharp objects and flammable materials.

00:42When it comes to our manpower at the ports, we have malasakit helpdesks.

00:48If they have questions regarding their 24-7 travel,
