La Pietra (Masaf): “Agricoltura e tutto il sistema agricolo sono fondamentali all'interno delle aree protette”

(Adnkronos) - “Dobbiamo trovare il modo di far sì che all'interno delle aree protette si possa continuare a fare tutte quelle attività agricole e di allevamento che permettano al territorio di essere curato, perché l'agricoltore è il primo custode dell'ambiente, dove non c'è agricoltura c'è dissesto.” Ha detto Patrizio La Pietra, Sottosegretario di Stato al Ministero dell’Agricoltura, della Sovranità Alimentare e delle Foreste, in occasione della conferenza “Stati Generali delle Aree protette italiane” presso la Biblioteca Nazionale di Roma.

00:00I am here today to reiterate how important agriculture is, the whole agricultural system,

00:10also within the protected areas.

00:12We must certainly find a way to ensure that within the protected areas

00:17we can continue to do all those agricultural and breeding activities

00:22that allow the territory to be cared for,

00:24because the farmer is the first guardian of the environment.

00:27Where there is no agriculture, there is deforestation.

00:29So I am firstly convinced that if we can combine these two things,

00:34we can certainly have a benefit, both for the territories,

00:38especially those inside, for agriculture, but also for the environment.
