00:26and also to the government agencies that are asking for exemptions from the spending ban for 2025.

00:34Komelec said that it's hot to talk about the use of the national budget for 2025.

00:41They are also issuing resolutions for exemptions from the spending ban of some programs of government agencies and LGUs.

00:49According to Komelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia, some of the first to be exempt are some programs of DOLE such as TUPAD and others.

00:59There are also programs of the Department of Health, National Housing Authority,

01:03Municipal Social Welfare Development of Bohol, Department of Agriculture, CPAR, SED and other LGUs.

01:14Your Commission of Elections will not be a barrier to the aid, especially that is being provided by the government.

01:22That is a privilege that we all accept.

01:29The reminder of Komelec is not only to the candidates for next year's election,

01:34but also to the government agencies that will be given exemptions.

01:39They should not be allowed to use the national fund for campaigns because if not,

01:45they will be punished for the possible punishment and the exemption will be removed from the ban.

01:55Once someone complained to us that it was used in politics and it was given to a group of voters because it is a supporter,

02:04we can stop it and withdraw the exemption anytime.

02:08It is not absolute that you gave it and there is no compensation for it.

02:12We can compensate for it anytime and we can sue the officials who are responsible for it.

02:19As Komelec Angelic said, for places that have calamity or disaster, such as Negros Island,

02:25that will be given aid because of the volcano eruption,

02:29it would be better if the LGUs or government agencies are the ones to distribute it,

02:34as well as the projects for health, which will also give them exemptions.

02:39But they should not interfere in any kind of politics.

02:42For these kinds of aid, it would be better if the candidates do not go,

02:48especially if the January 12 or election period has already started, because they can still use it in politics.

03:17As of now, Komelec has not received a request for exemption from the programs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
