00:00The Great Laying Ceremony was held by the Department of Tourism and Bataan LGU

00:04along with the DOT bringing the Philippine Experience Program to Laloigan.

00:08This is Rod Laguzin for Report.

00:17In Central Luzon, the Department of Tourism brought the Philippine Experience Program

00:22that will strengthen tourism in more places in the country.

00:26Bataan was one of the visitors who played a big role in the Second World War.

00:32In the town of Pilar, you can find the monument of the Crack of the Mount Samat

00:35which is a symbol of the bravery of the Filipino and American soldiers

00:39that is now known as a tourist destination.

00:42And as a tribute, the Great Laying Ceremony was held by Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco

00:47along with the local government.

00:49According to Bataan Governor Jose Enriquez Garcia de Turb,

00:52they consider tourism in the province as a low-hanging fruit.

00:56This is because of the opportunities here.

00:58Such as the strengthening of MICEO meetings, incentive travel,

01:02conventions and exhibits in the province,

01:04and the high price if Bataan-Cavite Intern Bridge is built.

01:09It is important for the residents, just like the locals,

01:12to feel the benefits of tourism.

01:14They are a big part of the history of Laloigan.

01:19That's why we want them to be a part of what we offer to the visitors here.

01:26Aside from their culture and their unique activities

01:32that we will learn a lot from,

01:34we have now formed a choir group called Goro Bangkal Magbukin.

01:41Meanwhile, the history of the preserved houses

01:45in Las Casas, Philippines de Acuzar in Bagac

01:48that came from different parts of the country is still alive.

01:51The houses here were carefully moved.

01:53Each part of these houses was built based on an original structure.

01:58The house in Binan is one of them.

02:01This is the original house of Chedora Alonzo,

02:03the mother of Dr. Roserizal.

02:05Aside from this, you can ride a boat to visit the other houses

02:10where the details of each part of the structure are unforgettable.

02:15When you are here in Las Casas, Philippines de Acuzar,

02:18it feels like you are going back in time

02:20because there are so many old houses here.

02:23At present, there are 63 houses that can be found here.

02:27From that number, 41 are the original

02:30that have their own rich history.

02:32From here, Subic Bay is just nearby

02:34that is also known as Pashalan.

02:37And because it is by the sea,

02:38you can do different water activities here.

02:41One of the best tourism activities here in Subic

02:44is the yacht cruising

02:46that should not be missed by the visitors here
