00:00Let's go live to Caracas Airport as the President of Nicaragua just landed for the 24th ALBA

00:16TCP Summit of Heads of State and Government.

00:18We are seeing there are live images from Caracas, the airport, as President Daniel Ortega just

00:24arrived and is about to follow this red carpet alongside the Foreign Affairs Minister of

00:30Venezuela, Iván Gil, as Heads of State and Government continue to arrive.

00:34We recently saw the arrival of the President of Bolivia, Luis Arce, and the Prime Minister

00:39of Dominica, Luz Wall Skerritt, and other leaders are expected yet to arrive here at

00:46the airport in Caracas to take part in this paramount ALBA TCP Summit, which also celebrates

00:54that a day like today, 20 years ago, the Bolivarian Alliance for the People of America

01:01was created by the then President of Cuba, Fidel Castro, and the President of Venezuela

01:07in those years, Hugo Chávez, an idea that was born out of these two Latin American leaders

01:16to ensure a joint development of the peoples of America and taking into account the social

01:23structures of different countries and the strengths and weaknesses of each so that

01:29together all nations of peoples of the region could develop and prosper and ensure equality

01:36and the right of opportunities for have a dignified life and to protect the sovereignty

01:41of the nations and the right to self-determination of these nations that are member states of

01:47ALBA TCP, which today there are 10 countries member of ALBA TCP, being Dominica, Antigua,

01:56Barbuda, St. Vincent, and the Grenadines, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Grenada

02:01on the Caribbean side, and Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua, and Cuba, all members of ALBA TCP

02:09throughout the years, leader by leader, they have joined and the alliance have grown in

02:13strength and today is a day to continue marking these 20 years of the alliance and to see

02:20the path forward in these current times, which we are experiencing a very complicated geopolitical

02:27structure at the international level with different crises, which are going to be discussed

02:31and debated and see what can be done to come out of all these issues.
