I'm showing you five of the easiest chicken dinner recipes
00:07
that all start in the Crock-Pot.
00:08
It's just a couple pantry staples
00:10
and fresh chicken of all varieties.
00:13
Minimal ingredients, maximum flavor.
00:15
Let's do it.
00:17
Number one, bacon and ranch.
00:19
Some may call this keto-friendly.
00:22
I call it damn delicious.
00:24
For this one, I am using boneless, skinless chicken breast.
00:27
I'm keeping it kind of chunky
00:28
because when you see how I serve it up, you'll see why.
00:31
To that, a block of cream cheese.
00:34
The old packet, y'all's favorite thing.
00:36
Whatever ranch flavor you like.
00:38
Some like the spicy one,
00:40
some like the fiesta one or whatever.
00:43
Just regular old ranch going in.
00:45
And then just a little bit of water
00:46
to kind of help give it some moisture and some sauciness.
00:49
And that's it.
00:51
And then this just cooks on high for a few hours
00:53
or low for, you know, five to six hours.
00:56
Whatever you've got time for.
00:59
Don't get scared.
01:00
What's gonna happen is we're gonna stir it all together
01:02
and it's gonna get creamy.
01:04
All right, this is when you add in the cheddar and the bacon.
01:08
First, the cheese.
01:13
That's the bulk of your meal.
01:14
You can eat that over rice.
01:16
You can eat it just as is with a salad and a baked potato.
01:19
That means this dinner is still five ingredients.
01:22
Little more cheese, little more bacon,
01:26
and a hint of freshness.
01:28
Serving suggestion number one.
01:30
If you're trying to feed a house full of hungry people,
01:33
stir in some cooked pasta and you will be a hero.
01:37
Now you have chicken bacon ranch pasta.
01:41
My daughters would eat the hell out of this.
01:45
Oh, look at that.
01:46
Taste test time.
01:50
That's stupid.
01:51
I didn't even add any extra salt and pepper
01:53
and there's so much flavor.
01:56
This next one is a little trick
01:57
I like to keep in my back pocket.
01:59
A whole chicken in the Crock-Pot, no liquid, no nothing.
02:03
I'm going to just place some potatoes down.
02:06
You know, it gives it a little better chance
02:07
of browning all around,
02:08
but most of the time I don't even do this.
02:10
I loved this whole recipe so much that at my wedding,
02:14
I just made little spice packets with this recipe attached
02:17
on how to cook a whole chicken in your Crock-Pot.
02:19
That was my party favor.
02:21
People made that, okay?
02:23
And they told me about it.
02:24
And then you just season your chicken however you want.
02:28
I'm using just like a seasoning blend.
02:31
Lots of pepper.
02:33
Then I'm just gonna add a little paprika.
02:35
You get the gist.
02:36
You could use Cajun seasoning, barbecue seasoning,
02:39
lemon pepper, whatever you want.
02:41
And now you just place it right on top.
02:44
I mean, do I need to repeat that?
02:47
You just cook this on high for like four hours
02:49
or you can just crank it to low, go to work.
02:52
It'll be perfect when you get home.
02:54
Whole chicken in a Crock-Pot.
02:56
Now, of course it's not a roasted chicken,
02:58
so you're not getting that crispy golden skin,
03:00
but you are still getting a lot of flavor.
03:02
And look at all the juice at the bottom.
03:04
This chicken's not for presentation.
03:06
This is for functionality and deliciousness.
03:09
So tender.
03:15
What we always do if I make it this way
03:16
is just kind of serve it with a big Caesar salad
03:19
or some little crusty bread, a little mayo,
03:25
some chicken, some of those juices,
03:29
and lots of cracked pepper.
03:31
I love this so much.
03:32
Just this with a cold glass of wine.
03:36
This is simplicity at its finest.
03:38
Next, cilantro lime chicken is in the all recipes
03:43
top rated recipes for chicken recipes
03:46
and for Crock-Pot recipes.
03:47
I'm telling you, you can make this whole pot of chicken
03:50
for less than a burrito bowl at Chipotle.
03:52
Just saying.
03:53
The only thing you have to do is chop up some cilantro.
03:56
And if you think cilantro tastes like soap,
03:58
then you can consider this a four ingredient dinner
04:01
and leave it out.
04:02
This with the cilantro and fresh lime is the best.
04:07
To that, I'm going in with the fresh cilantro.
04:11
The juice of a lime.
04:13
The guy I used to watch on the Food Network,
04:15
remember he used to do this trick.
04:18
You get so much more juice out of your lime.
04:22
No comments.
04:23
And then a pack of taco seasoning.
04:27
Stir it up.
04:28
Actually, this recipe calls for
04:30
the boneless, skinless chicken breast.
04:32
But for this, I like to use
04:34
the boneless, skinless chicken thigh.
04:36
A, it's cheaper, and B, you're less likely to overcook this.
04:40
Sometimes when you do all those shredded chicken recipes
04:42
in the Crock-Pot, they get like really just dry.
04:45
You're not gonna have that problem
04:46
when you use the chicken thigh.
04:49
Any of my favorite tongs lying around?
04:51
In they go.
04:52
You wanna give them a good toss around
04:54
in that salsa mixture and then set it and forget it.
04:56
Sound on, people, sound on.
04:59
When this is done, I'm gonna show you
05:00
my favorite ways to serve it up other than tacos.
05:05
Mm, mm, mm.
05:06
It's got its own sauce in here.
05:08
And at this point, all you do is shred it up.
05:10
You don't even have to do anything.
05:14
Mm, mm.
05:15
That's delicious.
05:17
This chicken makes the best quesadillas,
05:19
and sometimes quesadillas just feel different
05:22
than a normal Taco Tuesday.
05:24
But what I do the most with this
05:25
is just make little burrito bowls.
05:27
I love to start with these like ready packs of rice.
05:30
Don't forget that delicious liquid.
05:33
I'm going in with some cheese.
05:35
Little red onion.
05:36
Tomato.
05:40
Finish it off with the title of the recipe.
05:42
A little cilantro and a little lime.
05:45
They say if you microwave your lemons or limes,
05:47
you get more juice out of them.
05:51
Huh, it works.
05:52
That is gorgeous.
05:54
You know it is.
06:00
Mm, that is good crock pot chicken.
06:05
Next.
06:06
Everyone knows this next one, the buffalo chicken.
06:10
And it only has four ingredients.
06:11
The boneless, skinless chicken breast.
06:12
This one is gonna end up as the shreddy kind.
06:15
Buffalo and ranch go together like peanut butter and jelly.
06:19
Pour on the buffalo sauce.
06:22
And then just add in a couple tablespoons of butter.
06:28
Locked and loaded.
06:29
Crowd pleaser.
06:30
Perfect for a party.
06:31
Perfect for meal prep.
06:34
Come here, look.
06:36
Doesn't look like much now, but just wait.
06:38
This is another shreddy chicken.
06:41
This is cooked perfectly.
06:43
You don't wanna overcook your chicken.
06:45
I think people, you know, overestimate.
06:47
If you need to go longer,
06:49
like you're gonna be gone for a while,
06:50
then start with frozen chicken breast.
06:52
That way, you've got a little more time
06:55
without drying out your chicken.
06:58
Mm, why do bad things have to be so good?
07:02
I mean, it's done.
07:03
Get yourself some slider rolls or hoagie buns
07:07
and make some buffalo chicken sandwiches.
07:12
We're just gonna keep things simple.
07:14
And double duty.
07:16
Turn this into our favorite party dip.
07:20
Add it to some cream cheese.
07:23
Add in some more sauce and some more cheese.
07:26
Just a little more ranch.
07:28
Come on.
07:30
And you've got the best buffalo chicken dip
07:32
because you're starting with flavorful buffalo chicken
07:36
instead of just canned chicken or rotisserie chicken.
07:39
Don't say I never taught you anything.
07:46
Heat that up and serve it up.
07:48
Now, this is one of my favorite things in the whole world.
07:55
Listen, I just thought about something.
07:57
You could make this whole situation in the crock pot
08:00
after your chicken's done,
08:01
just stir in your cream cheese and your cheese next time.
08:04
We'll do that next time.
08:06
Are you ready for my final trick?
08:08
This last one is the no-fail barbecue chicken.
08:11
When you're craving it but you don't feel like dealing
08:14
with all that grill stuff.
08:15
You can use whatever cut of chicken you want here.
08:17
I am doing bone-in chicken thigh,
08:20
which of everything I've used,
08:21
this is the cheapest plus for barbecue chicken.
08:24
It creates the most tender, perfect chicken.
08:28
A bottle of whatever your favorite barbecue sauce is.
08:30
I like to go with one that's a little bit thicker
08:32
and sweeter because it creates more caramelization
08:35
on the chicken.
08:35
To that, I'm just gonna go in with some garlic powder
08:38
and some crushed red pepper,
08:41
a little bit of vinegar and brown sugar.
08:43
Then just stir that all together and pour it over.
08:47
Save a little bit for the end.
08:50
There's just no guessing required.
08:53
I mean, that looks like a good piece of barbecue chicken
08:55
if you ask me.
08:56
If you want to take this one step further
08:59
and kind of get that char-broiled kind of flavor,
09:02
put it on a baking sheet,
09:04
pop it under the broiler for just like a minute.
09:08
All that barbecue sauce is gonna caramelize
09:10
just as if you had it coming right off the grill.
09:18
Just go over there.
09:20
That's a barbecue dinner that came straight
09:22
from the Crock-Pot.
09:23
Drizzle it with a little of that sauce I saved earlier.
09:26
That's some barbecue you can even cook in the rain.
09:29
I don't wanna mess up that pretty plate.
09:31
Oh, this is fall off the bone.
09:36
Oh my God, that's delicious.
09:39
This finger looking good.
09:40
I don't think we can say that.
09:41
You don't think we can say Super Bowl
09:43
either than a million other people?
09:43
Don't say that.
09:45
That is even better than I thought it was gonna be.
09:47
And that's the truth.
09:50
I'm throwing in the towel.
09:51
Five recipes, multiple meals, minimal ingredients,
09:55
and a fraction of your time.
09:57
Break out your slow cooker, try one of these,
09:59
let me know what you think,
10:00
and what do you wanna know how to do next?
10:03
Let me know.
