Northampton: Man creates huge train ticket display in station

Elliot Badger shows off his display of 2,000 train tickets from different stations across the UK, to or from Northampton - he is still looking for tickets for 608 stations.

00:00I'm Elliot Badger, Retail and Travel Advisor working here, just some information on this

00:10Nine years ago, I just went from the tickets in the ticket bin, wanted to have a look to

00:16see where people travelled either from here or people travelling from there to here, just

00:20to see where everyone travelled.

00:21I just started collecting them, kept looking each day to see if there was any new ones,

00:27before long I got 2,000 of them.

00:30I didn't have any idea that I was even going to be carrying it on, I literally just started

00:34looking at tickets and just kept collecting more before I knew it, it is what it is.

00:39I didn't know how long it would take or even if it would never be completed, I just kept

00:43it going.

00:44There's been a lot of very happy feedback for this, very very good feedback, especially

00:49people that are willing to just go out of their way, just so they can bring a ticket

00:54and put it on the board.

00:55It's incredible, absolutely incredible.

00:57We had 18 railway enthusiasts all arranged to travel to stations that are not on here

01:02in order to arrive at the same time, there's still 600 odd to go.
