00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said the country will not send a Navy warship to the

00:05West Philippine Sea, noting that the nation does not escalate tensions in the highly disputed

00:11waters. According to Philippine News Agency report, the chief executive said that the

00:15government would continue protecting fishermen and its territorial rights over the West Philippine

00:20Sea despite the continuing Chinese aggression in the region.

00:23We are not at war. We don't need Navy warships. All we are doing is resupplying our fishermen,

00:32protecting our territorial rights. Again, it will be provocative and will be seen as an

00:39escalation. We don't do that. The Philippines does not escalate tensions. Quite the opposite.

00:45The Philippines always tries to bring down the level of tension.
