00:48Earlier today, the Pogo in Island Cove, Kawit, Cavite, was inspected and permanently closed.
00:53DILG Secretary Junvic Rimulya, PNP Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil, Pagcor, and
00:59PAOC led the posting of notice of closure on establishments inside the Pogo hub.
01:04DILG, together with the PNP, PAOC, Pagcor, and DOJ also locked the buildings completely.
01:10During this morning's inspection, abandoned gaming rooms were revealed.
01:14Employee quarters were also vacant.
01:16These include 15,000 Filipinos and 15,000 foreign workers.
01:34He also mentioned that the foreign workers' working visas have been downgraded to tourist
01:38visas, making it impossible for them to stay longer in the country.
01:42The PNP and PAOC assured to monitor the possible emergence of Pogo guerrilla operations
01:47that might use business process outsourcing, or BPO, as a cover.
01:51Meanwhile, Pagcor stated that the closure of Pogos in the country
01:55could result in the loss of no less than P20 billion annually for the Philippines.
