00:00And Vinny, I think let's start with the funny part of the NFL, which is people think that

00:07the games by the Chiefs are scripted.

00:09You would think that they are, by the way.

00:11I mean, they're not, but you would think that they are based on the way that these have

00:15happened.

00:16Vinny, they can't cover a spread.

00:17Basically, they beat the Chargers yesterday, 1917.

00:21How did they win this one?

00:22Of course, a kicker makes a field goal, goes off the goalpost.

00:24Okay, great.

00:26They win the division, 19 to 17.

00:29Vinny, history tells us in sports that it's very rare to have a team sleepwalk through

00:36a season and then just turn it on for the playoffs.

00:40Is that what's going to happen for the Chiefs here?

00:43Because every time we hear, oh, they don't care about the regular season.

00:46They just want to get to the playoffs and just win.

00:48That doesn't work all the time.

00:50Is that going to work for the Chiefs?

00:51Well, I think you look at the Chiefs, they're very much like the Patriots.

00:54The Patriots won a lot of close games during their dives.

00:57They were really good at doing that.

00:58All their Super Bowls were rather close for the most part, and they had to come back in

01:03some of them as well.

01:05The Chiefs have experienced that, right?

01:06I mean, they've had big deficits they've had to overcome.

01:09In a couple Super Bowls, they won, and it was just a thing that the Chiefs have learned

01:15how to do here.

01:16And look, you can look at Matthew Wright and getting lucky on that last field goal, but

01:20they had to find a guy to replace Harrison Butker, and he comes in, kicks four field

01:25goals in a pretty important game here to win the division.

01:28So they're finding some right personnel, guys that are going to help them in the right situations.

01:34They know how to close out these games.

01:36Now, I don't know if they're necessarily sleepwalking.

01:38I think everyone's giving them their best shot.

01:40I mean, as you win one championship, everyone's gunning for you.

01:43When you've won three and two in a row, everyone's going to give you their best game.

01:47The Chargers are a tough team.

01:48That was not going to be easy.

01:50We knew that it was going to be coming down to a field goal probably in this one.

01:54So they're doing their best, but I mean, do you look at that as being a fault, or do you

02:00look at the Bills maybe overlooking a Rams team they probably should beat rather easily?

02:05So you kind of weigh those two things.

02:07But we know the Chiefs history says they're going to come through the playoffs.
