00:11And we begin tonight's stories with...

00:14Earlier today, the Supreme Court issued its ruling that FAR exam results or scores are

00:20like individual medical records or exam results and cannot be disclosed sans prior consent

00:26from the examinee or test taker.

00:29The High Court's pronouncement and the Guidelines governing requests for disclosure of a law

00:34school's FAR exam performance take effect immediately and ahead of the release of the

00:40results of the 2024 FAR exams on Friday, December 13.

00:45Under the just-released SC Guidelines, the requests of law schools for FAR exam scores

00:51may be approved under the condition that the scores are averaged, aggregated, anonymized,

00:58and do not specifically identify an examinee or test taker by name.

01:03Among the data are figures the High Court greenlights for release include the number

01:08or percentile of a law school's graduates identified by type, first-time takers, repeat

01:15examinees, refreshers, the number or percentile of graduates within specific score ranges,

01:21the average score of all graduates in each FAR subject, and overall average, general-weighted

01:28average for law schools with multiple examinees.

01:34Strangely enough, the outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden and his incoming successor are one

01:40on their sentiments and concerns on the collapse of the Syrian government under fallen authoritarian

01:46and failed President Bashar al-Assad.

01:50Both are espousing non-intervention in the situation in Damascus, but are keeping a close

01:55eye on developments as VOA's Veronica Balderas Iglesias reports.

02:03From the White House, U.S. President Joe Biden addressed the collapse of the Bashar al-Assad

02:07regime in Syria by a rebel offensive.

02:10At long last, the Assad regime has fallen.

02:14This regime brutalized and tortured and killed literally hundreds of thousands of innocent

02:20Syrians.

02:21The fall of the regime is a fundamental act of justice.

02:25It's a moment of historic opportunity for the long-suffering people of Syria to build

02:30a better future for their proud country.

02:33Biden also outlined several steps the U.S. plans to take in light of the changes on the

02:38ground, including working closely with regional allies.

02:43We'll support Syria's neighbors, including Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Israel, should any

02:50threat arise from Syria during this period of transition.

02:55President-elect Donald Trump reacted Sunday to the latest developments in Syria, posting

03:00on his Truth social media platform, quote, Assad is gone.

03:05He has fled his country.

03:07Peace Protector Russia, led by Vladimir Putin, was not interested in protecting him any longer.

03:13A day earlier, Trump posted, Syria is a mess, but it's not our friend and the United States

03:20should have nothing to do with it.

03:22This is not our fight.

03:25The celebratory mood on the ground in Syria by those who opposed Assad should be distracted

03:31from the immediate needs that must be tended to, experts warn.

03:36There's going to be the humanitarian aid concern, which I think we and other countries

03:39in the U.N. will have to address.

03:41I think secondly, as you mentioned, is the chemical weapons and other military capabilities.

03:45We do not want those to get into the wrong hands.

03:47Given its strategic interests and partnerships in the region, analysts expect the United

03:53States will keep a close eye on who ends up taking power in Syria after Assad and the

03:59direction they take the country in.

04:24As of December 24, 2024, the minimum wage for private sector workers in the Cordilleras

04:32is P40 per day.

04:36That's P430, equivalent to P470.

04:41For formal workers, the minimum wage is P1,100, equivalent to P6,000.

04:52For minimum wage earners, the minimum wage is P40 per day.

04:57That's equivalent to P40 per day.

05:05This has been resolved after a thorough study of economic indicators such as consumer price

05:15index, inflation, poverty threshold, and other economic variables, as well as the result

05:26of consultation with all the provinces here in the Cordilleras.

05:31A large number of people are being killed in the area of the 2nd Apayaw Provincial Mobile

05:38Force Company, located in Apayaw River.

05:43On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, the PMFC in Barangay Lagnao, Kalanasan, was called to

05:53a follow-up investigation into a possible warrant of arrest for an individual suspect in the

05:59shooting incident.

06:19They were arrested by the patrolman Halterek Quezon of the Apayaw Province, patrolman Resty

06:26Bayog of Manipul Tabuk City, and patrolman Gian Lorenzo Tugay and Jr. of Manipul Lingawan

06:32of Bugyas, Benguet.

06:35The boat sank.

06:36Initially, they were all attached to the boat.

06:41But when the boat was released, all of them received financial assistance from the National

06:53Asset Partners, both in the region and in our country.
