Breaking news! Lancaster Bid's Toy Appeal is back!
00:03
After last year's success of delivering literally thousands of toys to charities
00:07
in and around Lancaster, it's launching again for 2024.
00:10
Live from the Entertainer, join headline sponsor Traveller's Choice Jackie
00:15
and Bid Manager Tony as they kickstart the appeal today. Take a look!
00:21
Hello everyone, welcome to the official launch of Lancaster Bid's Toy Appeal for 2024,
00:26
kindly sponsored by the Traveller's Choice. We've already had an unbelievable response,
00:31
even though we haven't actually launched yet. We've had donations from various companies
00:36
across Lancaster City Centre and beyond, which has given us a start of £2,100 of toys
00:43
for needy charities across Lancaster District. We really want your support this year to make
00:49
it the biggest and best toy appeal ever. You can find out details on where you can drop your toys
00:54
off or the charities that we are supporting this year. Thank you very much in advance.
01:00
At the Entertainer in Lancaster today, Traveller's Choice kindly donated £250 on all these toys.
01:06
On behalf of myself and the team at the Traveller's Choice coaches, we are extremely proud
01:11
once again to be on board as the sponsors of the Lancaster Bid's Toy Appeal. Previous years,
01:17
it has been a huge success and it is all down to you guys, so massive thank you.
01:23
My Christmas wish this year is for every child in our local area to wake up on Christmas morning
01:28
with a smile on their face. And this is where you guys come in, so if you can donate in any way,
01:35
it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much and Merry Christmas.
01:39
You heard it here first, get donating toys to help charities such as Unique Kids,
01:43
Cancer Care, Little Joe's Clothes, East Meets West, SafeNet and the RLI Children's Ward.
01:49
There's a number of drop-off points in Lancaster, so the places you can drop off toys are Primark,
01:54
SJ Barge, Access Planet, My Dentist, Cumberland Building Society, TK Maxx, Bella Italia,
02:01
Furnham Hall, The Tap House, Nationwide and of course the Traveller's Choice.
02:06
Thank you very much for watching.
