00:00A job fair is being prepared for the displaced POGO workers in Laguna.
00:05It will be held at Ayala Pavilion Mall in Binan City,
00:09where up to 4,000 jobs will be opened in a special job fair.
00:15Among the jobs allocated are production operator, cashier, sales clerk, and others.
00:21Meanwhile, the 187 POGO workers who do not have legal documents
00:27to work here in the country are being deported.
00:31According to PAOC Executive Director Yusec Gilberto Cruz,
00:35these POGO workers are from POGO Hub in Lapu-Lapu City, Bamban, Porac, and Metro Manila.
00:43Along with the deportation, they are also blacklisted
00:46or will not be able to return here in the Philippines.
00:50The number of those who will be deported is 190 yesterday,
00:54but three were left behind because of the recent cases.
00:57They will be deported to China when their verification process is completed.
01:02Today, 12 Indonesian nationals were deported to Indonesia.
01:08President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. first ordered that POGO should not be operated after 2024.
