00:04this is the request of President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr.

00:07to the top officials of the Armed Forces of the Philippines

00:11in front of the various challenges that the country is facing.

00:20As stewards of our national defense,

00:22you bear the solemn responsibility of ensuring the security of our land,

00:27of our seas, of our skies, our cyberspace.

00:32In defending our waters, we must uphold international maritime laws,

00:37deepening our commitment to regional peace and cooperation.

00:41This is the call of President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr.

00:45to the members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines

00:48in the presence of more than 30 new promoted general and flag officers

00:52of the Armed Forces of the Philippines to President Marquez.

00:55The Executive Board of the AFP has been reminded

00:58to serve with integrity and to care for the country.

01:03Every decision we make now, every action that we take,

01:07will help shape the course of our republic.

01:10As our senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines,

01:14I enjoin you to lead with honor,

01:16serve with integrity, and inspire others with your example.

01:20Stand with your troops, stand for the Constitution,

01:23and above all, stand for the Filipino people.

01:27The AFP first emphasized that this is in line with the Constitution.

01:31Meanwhile, the President assured the continued support of the AFP.

01:36He emphasized programs and activities that will strengthen the Armed Forces,

01:41such as the launch of the Combined Coordination Center of the Philippines and the United States.

01:47It is a leap forward in our modernization efforts,

01:50reinforcing our interoperability with allies,

01:54and strengthening our defense capabilities under the Mutual Defense Board concept plan.

01:59The AFP also added joint exercises.

02:03These exercises equip our forces as they address evolving security threats

02:09and operationalize the comprehensive archipelagic defense concept.

02:14Above all, let us pursue the dreams of every Filipino

02:20through every mission we have accomplished,

02:24every sacrifice we have made,

02:27and every step we have taken.

02:30The President reiterated that the safety of every Filipino

02:35is one of the priorities of the government.

02:39Where safety and peace are not exceptions, but are expectations.

02:44At the 33rd Anti-Terrorism Council Meeting in Malacanang,

02:49the Executive Board assured the support of the ATC,

02:53the leading agency that advocates and supports terrorism.

02:58One of the important steps for terrorist groups to fight inside and outside the country

03:04is the freezing of assets,

03:06or the arrest of individuals with ties to terrorism

03:10so that they can use their money and property to commit crimes.

03:15In addition to freeing terrorist groups,

03:18the government is working to address the root of the problem.

03:23Local leaders were encouraged and encouraged to engage in dialogue

03:28to build a united new Philippines.

03:33Administrator Marcos also urged the leadership of other countries,

03:37such as the United Nations and regional organizations,

03:41to increase the capacity to respond to transnational threats.
