00:00I am very proud today because through cooperation between the Ministry of Labour and the Talent Corp,
00:20Kesuma has smoothened the guidelines for the implementation of the Flexible Work Regulations.
00:26I have given the background and some of my colleagues have given their input,
00:34so I don't want to go into too much detail.
00:37But we hope, Kesuma hopes, that with these guidelines,
00:43more companies and workers will be able to implement the Flexible Work Regulations in their companies.
00:51Because we believe that by implementing or creating a more progressive, more flexible work environment,
01:01which balances between work and work-life balance,
01:05it will be able to give an advantage to a company,
01:10especially in terms of maintaining the quality of the workforce to benefit the company.
01:18Boimin, you said that back in 2023, you were already a member of the Board of Trustees.
01:24Now that you are a member of the Board of Trustees,
01:26do you have any plans for the background?
01:28So far, how many companies have subscribed to FWA?
01:34And the next year, you are also in the process of hiring, right?
01:37So, do you have any plans for how many companies will adopt this?
01:42Okay.
01:44The Telekom, this year, has also been given a task,
01:49which is to run a campaign to enforce the Flexible Work Regulations.
01:55And in their implementation of this,
01:58they have encouraged the FWA's implementation bankers.
02:06And as of October, more or less 3,000 companies have signed up for this banking.
02:13And these companies have more or less 565,000 employees in total.
02:22So, because of this, a new guidance line has been issued.
02:26For me, the laws are already there, the guidance line is already there,
02:32and so we want to encourage more companies to implement it.
02:37I don't have a figure for today's target,
02:42but we will start our campaign to launch the implementation of this FWA
02:49in major cities, especially, for example, in Penang Island,
02:53in Lembah Klang, and in Johor Bahru.
02:55Why? Because these places are the headquarters of companies, including SMEs.
03:02And secondly, it is hoped that with the implementation of this FWA,
03:06we can also reduce a little cross-border congestion
03:09when working hours are more flexible,
03:13or the work regulations are more flexible,
03:15working from home, for example,
03:17or working from a place that is closer to home than the office.
03:21So, we hope this can also reduce other issues,
03:25for example, cross-border congestion.
03:27But the focus of it is not just cross-border congestion,
03:32the focus is to create a more conducive work environment,
03:36to reduce issues such as mental health pressures, and so on.
03:43So, there are 3,000 companies, including e-bankers.
03:46How is the feedback from them?
03:48We have a feedback report,
03:50maybe I will ask Telekom to provide that feedback report.
03:54But Telekom will also, in the next 6 months,
04:00we will conduct a study to look at the effects of the work regulations
04:09on a company, for example, in terms of productivity.
04:12We have international reports that state that productivity is not affected,
04:18but for suma, we also want to look at it in the context of Malaysia.
04:23So, there will be a tracer study in the next 6 months by Telekom
04:30to look at the impact of the work regulations
04:36on the companies that implement them.
04:40Can you share the feedback report?
04:44I mentioned it earlier, but it also provides examples of objectives,
04:54the work regulations, what are the specifications,
04:57the rules of implementation,
05:00how the work regulations are formed,
05:03so that it is not just work from home.
05:05Work from home is only one form.
05:07And then we also have examples,
05:10we provide examples of time calculations,
05:12examples of situations when workers choose to work in a schedule,
05:21in terms of time, in terms of place, in terms of day,
05:25in terms of appropriate work,
05:33in terms of application process,
05:36in terms of application process,
05:38we even have examples of quotas that are given.
05:43The company codes, it says,
05:45what quotas do you want to use?
05:47In the guidelines, there are quotas.
05:49And we have also outlined the responsibilities of the workers
05:52in terms of the work regulations,
05:54the responsibilities of the employers in terms of the work regulations,
05:58and so on.
05:59This is in this book.
06:00Everything can be downloaded on our website
06:03and can also be explained at JTK offices and Telekom.
