00:00The second impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte

00:04has been formally filed in the House of Representatives.

00:07The complaint was received by House Secretary General Reginald Velasco

00:11at around 3.30 p.m. earlier today.

00:15Over 70 complainants from various sectors submitted the complaint

00:19which was endorsed by House Deputy Minority Leader

00:22Franz Castro, Gabriela Partylist Representative

00:26Arlene Brosas and Kabataan Partylist Representative

00:29Raul Manuel. The main basis for the complaint is the alleged betrayal of

00:34public trust regarding the Vice President's supposed

00:37misuse of confidential funds. Secretary General Velasco assured that

00:42like the first complaint, this will be processed thoroughly by the

00:46House according to their constitutional duties.

00:51The House is committed to performing its constitutional duty

00:56with fairness, impartiality, and respect for the rule of law.

01:02We assure the public that this process will be conducted with integrity,

01:10guided by the principles of due process, and adherence to the Constitution.

01:17We strongly endorse this impeachment complaint

01:23by our fellow citizens, composed of 75 persons

01:27representatives of their organizations.

01:30Because we saw in the hearings,

01:37we saw in the Quadcom, here in the Committee on Good Government,

01:43the obvious embezzlement of funds.
