00:59The message of the first couple was simple but mesmerizing.
01:03It gave love and care to our fellow countrymen, especially to the victims of the typhoon.
01:11It is a joyful time for all Filipinos.
01:15But as we celebrate, all I'd like is to ask you to hold the thought for all those people
01:23who up to now are trying to recover from the effects of the six typhoons that we suffered in 23 days.
01:32Many of them are still in shelters. Many of them are still in need.
01:39President Marcos also recognized the courage of Filipinos who do not give up and continue to rise now that Christmas is coming.
01:48My Christmas wish is that despite everything that no Filipino has, every Filipino should feel somehow Christmas.
02:01Because after all, no matter how many typhoons they throw at us, no matter how many problems are thrown at us,
02:09there is nothing that will quench the Christmas spirit in the Filipino heart.
02:14And every child, man, woman, Filipino, you will not be able to remove that from the Philippines.
02:22Also included in the program is the recognition of those who shared in the three years of a star, a smile.
02:28This is the Nationwide Lantern Making Contest in various State Colleges and Universities in the country.
02:34The talent of the Filipinos in the creation of lanterns is far-reaching.
02:39Receiving one million pesos, laptops, and other accessories, the Grand Prize is awarded.
02:46Our theme this year is about hope and resiliency.
02:50So it's beautiful because the paroles that everybody, that all the students made, we partnered with DepEd this year.
03:09My experience here is really, really good.
03:12So in the ballet, I really liked it because my sister also dances and also I felt the spirit of Christmas.
03:23The performance of the people who performed on the stage was so beautiful. They were so amazing.
03:29Christmas Caroling also gave the award to the Father of Christmas Songs, Jose Marie Chan.
03:36She was with the Filipino theater actress, Carla Laforteza.
