00:04of Caracas as part of the activities to kick off the Christmas holidays.

00:08With parades and cultural expressions from different states, citizens departed from different

00:12locations of Caracas, the capital city, to join in the celebrations that kick off Christmas

00:18in the country.

00:19The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Melendez, led the rally that started in Plaza Catia, where

00:24she praised the great presence of cultural movements as well as the people's power.

00:28She also described the Venezuelan Capitol as a cultural mosaic.

00:32Citizens highlighted the celebration of these activities as a sign that the country is better

00:36and will continue to improve.

00:43And also in Venezuela, on Sunday morning, people celebrated the Aguinaldo Mass, a religious

00:47tradition that kicks off the Christmas season in the country.

00:51In Caracas, the nation's capital, the mass was led by priest Numa Molina, who began the

00:55celebration by sending a message of faith and devotion in the expectation of the birth

00:58of Jesus.

00:59Father Molina also prayed for the Palestinian children who have been killed by the Israeli

01:04forces and compared this genocide with the massacre against children under two years

01:08old born in Bethlehem ordered by King Herod over 2,000 years ago.

01:13At the mass, parishioners prayed for the cessation of war and global conflicts so that peace
