00:21by buying local products as a gift this Christmas.
00:26In a statement to the PIA Romblon, DTI Romblon Provincial Director Orville Mallorca said
00:33that buying local products is important to help MSMEs who are facing economic challenges.
00:41Mallorca explained that buying local products has a direct effect on the livelihood of workers and businessmen in the province.
00:50The good thing about buying local products is that we are able to sustain the livelihood of our fellow countrymen,
00:59the employment of those who supply them, and of course, the additional money that comes out of it.
01:07It helps our economy.
01:09According to Mallorca, buying local products from Romblon, such as marble crafts from Romblon and handicrafts,
01:18from other parts of the province can help not only MSMEs, but also to promote the culture and tradition of Romblons.
01:27He added that the Auto Center, or One Town One Product in Ojongan, and the Marble Shopping Center in Romblon
01:34are open for those who want to buy local products.
01:39This campaign is part of DTI's Go Local program,
01:43which aims to raise and empower the Filipino people to try local products.
