00:00The World Bank will fund the construction of 3,000 schools destroyed by the typhoon.
00:05The 500 million dollar fund or loan agreement was signed by Finance Secretary Ralph Recto
00:13and World Bank Country Director for the Philippines, Malaysia and Brunei, Xavier Mustafaglu.
00:19Along with the Infrastructure for Safer and Resilient Schools Project,
00:23the project will focus on the repair, rehabilitation, retrofitting and reconstruction of schools destroyed by the typhoon
00:29between 2019 and 2023 in all regions of the country.
00:34The government will respond if there are additional expenses.
00:38The project will start this year until 2029
00:42under the leadership of the Department of Education and Department of Public Works and Highways.
