00:00The World Boxing Council, or WBC, has recently honored Filipino boxing icon and the sports-only 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao with the 2025 Comeback of the Year award.
00:12The WBC said Pacquiao's majority draw against reigning welterweight champion Mario Barrios in July last year was enough to prove that the Filipino icon remains world-class despite a four-year hiatus from professional boxing.
00:27At 4'6", Pacquiao returned to the ring aiming to reclaim and even surpass his own record as the oldest welterweight champion, a feat he first achieved in 2019 after defeating Keith Thurman at age 40.
00:42Despite the result, Pacquiao's camp said the boxing legend will remain active with negotiations currently underway this month for his next big fight.
