Internet connectivity remains a pressing issue in the UK, with new research revealing that
00:07
a third of households experience slow or no internet in certain areas of their homes.
00:14
These areas are often referred to as not-spots. This is a significant concern as 65% of consumers
00:21
now view reliable connectivity as essential for daily life. The frustration is palpable
00:28
with 86% of those affected finding it disruptive and 46% describing it as very frustrating.
00:36
Furthermore, poor connectivity impacts online shopping behaviour as nearly one in five consumers
00:43
will abandon a website if it doesn't load within seconds, leading to lost sales, with
00:49
two-thirds of people believing internet providers should do more to resolve these issues. It
00:55
raises an important question for the UK. Are our internet services good enough and
01:00
more importantly, are they good value?
