00:00S&P Global Ratings upgraded the country's credit rating outlook to positive from stable.

00:06The credit rating agency also maintained the sovereign credit ratings at triple B plus

00:11for long term and A2 for short term.

00:14The upgraded outlook highlighted the country's effective policymaking, fiscal reforms, improved

00:19infrastructure and policy environment which have supported robust economic growth over

00:24the past decade.

00:25The Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas welcomed S&P's decision which reflects the government's efforts

00:30to enhance the economic, fiscal and monetary environment supporting continued strong growth.
